  • The Countdown Continues

...until the day Xanga lets me blog again.

About 6,000 credits more...then I can upload pictures once again!

Until then...here's a random old picture from 3 or 4 years ago.

    Sistas!

And here's a random picture of my husband.  He has really blue eyes sometimes.

  • A country girl rapping!

Respect the old school and make room for the new

Now tell me you don't love what this country girl can do

So tell me what you need and Christina will make it happen

Things are changing; we got a country girl rappin'!

2 weeks and 4 resumes later, and still no word on the jobs Matthew applied for in Traverse City.  Getting a new job takes awhile…I guess it teaches patience.

In other news, our kickball team won our first game last night!

  • Happy Modern Day Hippy Day!

I'm not a hippy, but if I were, I would have joyous fun being one.

I wouldn't be a 60's or 70's hippy.  History wasn’t really my thing so I really don't know much about hippies back then.  I mean, I don't even know if it was the 60's or the 70's when hippies existed.  But I would be a modern day hippy.  Just for fun!

To be a modern day hippy…

MOTTO!  I would have a motto.  It would be: Love, Joy, Peace Ya'll!

ENTHUSIASTIC KINDNESS!  I would have a warm, bubbly personality with a smile and a big bear hug for everyone I met.

BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES!  I would wear lots of bright colors and any jewelry I considered pretty no matter how tacky others might think it is.

STUNNING WALL ART!  I would take pictures of every pretty flower or cute critter or wondrous sunset and get poster-sized prints made of them.  Then I would hang them in my apartment in frames I made with my own two hands.

I AM THE BAND!  I would write songs and post them on Xanga for all my Xanga friends to listen to.  They'd tell me they were awesome even though I can't sing because they'd all be modern day hippies, too!

PAINTED VEHICLES!  I would paint my truck with all kinds of colors and designs.  I'd paint huge hearts flowers on the doors (because hearts and flowers are pretty and easy to paint.)  And I'd paint peace sings and trees to show I care about all things peaceful and kind.

BEAUTIFUL HAIR!  I'd wear long hair with braids just to look pretty.  And I'd wear flowers in my hair (because flowers are pretty, too!)

TRAVELING FRIENDS!  I'd travel around.  (Who really wants to be stuck in an office, anyway) and make friends with all sorts of people.  We won't discuss politics or business; we'll just have fun together and play yard games in the grass all day and make s'mores around a bonfire at night

FEET!  I'd wear sandals because they're comfy and let your toes breathe.  Plus, they're easy to take off and put back on.  And I'd wear cowboy boots in the winter because I like they way they look.  And I would always have painted toenails.

SKIP THE BELL BOTTOMS!  I wouldn’t wear bell bottoms.  That's silly.  But I'd decorate my jeans with all kinds of sparkly sparkles.  They'd fit well and flatter my figure.

LOVE!  I would show everyone how much I loved them, how much I loved life, and how much God loves us all.

Now you can be a hippy too!

  • Hick Hock

You're welcome to stop in and have a cold soda

Big city boys and stuck up super models

We don't care where you're from, as long as you're polite

But push come to shove and every one of us will fight!

(Just a little hick hock...I need 6,500 credits then I can post pictures again!)
